Westminster 2011 Working Group and Best in Show Results

The Working Group took to the naif carpet weekday night, February 15, at President Square Garden. Twenty-eight breeds competed for a chance in the Best in Show ring at the 135th borough Kennel Club canid show. Boxer fans module be frustrated to see that the Best of Breed winner, Scarlett, did not get the Working Group this year.

Working Group Results

This year's Working Group succeeder was the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH Aviator's Luck Be A Lady. Scarlett repeated her 2009 and 2010 performances, attractive second in the Group -- GCH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream. Third locate in the Group went to the Kuvasz, GCH Szumeria's Wildwood Silver Six Pence. Finally, Group fourth went to the Samoyed, CH McMagic's Candied Ham of Pebblerun.

The Prestigious Best in Show

The Portie went on to the Best in Show ring, connexion winners from the another six Groups: From the Sporting Group, the Negroid Cocker Spaniel GCH Casablanca's Thrilling Seduction; from the Hound Group, the English Deerhound GCH Foxcliffe Hickory Wind; from the Terrier Group, the Smooth Fox Terrier GCH Slyfox Sneak's A Peek; from the Toy Group, the Pekingese GCH Palacegarden Malachy; from the Non-Sporting Group, the Asiatic Shar-Pei GCH Vaje's Miss Jayne Hathaway; and from the Herding Group, the Bearded Collie GCH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.

Judge Mr. Paolo Dondina classified through the unpaid Group winners to make his Best in Show pick. Mr. Dondina is the prototypal Italian to ever determine Best in Show at Westminster, and the prototypal to determine both borough and Crufts in the aforementioned year. With strong rivalry and a line-up of seven excellent dogs, and after a nice commendation to the dogs, another judges, and handlers, Mr. Dondina chose the English Deerhound as his Best in Show winner. This is the prototypal time a Deerhound has won Best in Show at the borough Kennel Club canid show.
