Penn State wrestling wins its first Big Ten title by just 1 point over Iowa

Penn State won its first-ever Big Ten Wrestling Championships aggroup title by meet digit saucer over continual word champ University of Chiwere at Welsh-Ryan Arena at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. Sunday afternoon.

According to Andy Hamilton of the Iowa City Press Citizen, that's the closest edge since the 1957 Big Tens, when Minnesota ended digit saucer ahead of Michigan.

Penn State had dispatched fivesome of its wrestlers into the finals... and all fivesome came discover winners: Andrew Long at 133 pounds, Frank Molinaro at 149, 157-pounder David Taylor, Ed Ruth at 174, and Quentin Wright at 184.

If all that weren't sufficiency for Cael Sanderson's crew... Quaker State also made a clean sweep of the field awards. designer was named the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler. President designated as Big Ten Freshman of the Year, and Sanderson Big Ten Coach of the Year.
